Text Panel

Text panels have all the basic properties described in Object Instructions.

Text

The text panel object has a text property that can be updated via instructions. The provided text overrides the previous text of the panel.

Font

The font of the text panel can be accessed via the font property. The font object has all the basic properties described in Object Instructions as well as material properties.

Background

The background of the text panel can be accessed via the background property. The background object has all the basic properties described in Object Instructions as well as material properties.

Material

The material properties of the text panel or its font and background can be updated dynamically.

The following material properties can be updated via instructions

• color: The color of the material.

• transparency: The new transparency value (between 0 and 1) of the material.

• depth_test: Changing whether to enable the depth test when rendering this material.
